Lynne and John Boyce share their intimate knowledge of the Whitsunday water wonderland and welcome you to their yacht “Sydney Sundancer” which has been likened to a five star floating resort. Sailing, snorkelling, reef walking, kayaking, whale watching, uninhabited island exploration and gourmet meals together with award winning wines, are just some of the daily highlights at Whitsunday Sailing Charter.
Departing from Hamilton Island Marina, John & Lynne conduct ½ day private cruises to sail the Whitsundays and also private full day excursions to visit Whitehaven Beach, the Hill Inlet lookout and great snorkelling locations where friendly fish & colourful corals abound in crystal clear water.
If you wish to charter for longer periods, Lynne & John will take you to
visit remote locations in the world’s largest & most diverse Marine Reserve. They offer 6 day 6 night live aboard sailing holidays (departing on Saturday afternoons and returning the following Friday morning) where you can book a cabin and join other like minded guests (maximum 8 guests but usually no more than 6).
Potential guests whose time is short (they do not have 6 days & nights) should not be deterred, so please enquire advising your available dates & we will let you know what we can arrange.
An important consideration, if you are considering a cruise of more than one days duration, is that there will be no children aboard! Lynne & John guarantee that if you choose an overnight cruise, there will be no person aboard aged less than 18, because guests who wish to have a family holiday with their children, are required to book a private yacht charter at Luxury Sailing Whitsundays.
Of course, private charters are available with or without children for cruises of any duration, but we recommend a minimum of 3 days / 3 nights simply because there is so much to see and do. However, please enquire if your time is shorter than that. Although the Australian Maritime Safety Authority has licensed “Sydney Sundancer” to accommodate to 14 guests plus 2 crew, Lynne & John recommend no more than 10 guests when a group of good friends or family holiday aboard.
“Sydney Sundancer” is Australia’s most awarded charter boat and the only Whitsundays charter yacht offering shared voyages departing from Hamilton Island (ie. where you can book a cabin and join others)
All other charter yachts that accept cabin bookings operate out of Airlie Beach on the mainland. “Sydney Sundancer” is real micro expedition ship built to conduct extended voyages to remote and remarkable locations. The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority (the government body that controls all activities within the Marine Reserve has granted “Sydney Sundancer” a Long Range Roving Permit enabling it to visit unique locations where most most other charter boats are not permitted. Lynne & John proudly advise that they specialise in conducting “Expedition voyages for discerning people who want to learn about the only living structure on Earth, that is visible from outer space!”
It’s hard for visitors to choose from so many vessels operating in the Whitsunday’s, but we believe, as a husband and wife team who are extremely passionate about the area, that we offer our guests a very very special experience. We have explored much of The Great Barrier Reef Marine Park in our quest to discover the best locations for appreciation of nature both above and below the water. We love to welcome guests aboard our “floating home” and personally introduce them to the wonders of the Whitsunday’s, because we consider this to be the most magical location in the whole Marine Park.
For more than 30 years, we have been guiding our guests on the uninhabited islands, in the inter-tidal zone and below the surface in this water wonderland.
